I am a little closer to getting this gem. When it first came out on September 8, I was pondering if I should get this for the retail of $600. A couple weeks went by, then they started to pop up on eBay for $500. Ehh, a lot better than the inital $600 but $500 is a lot of money for anything.
Then today I went in to a Sprint store and talked to one of the workers, asking if it is possible to upgrade my SERO 30 phone to a Touch Pro 2. I already knew it was possible, but I guess I just wanted to test his knowledge. Then to my surprise, he said "absolutely". He confirmed that I could upgrade my phone to any WinMo phone and keep my awesome SERO 30 plan. I was estatic!! Where do I sign up?? But unfortunately, they didn't have any phones in stock. :( So I will return next week. He priced me at $350 + $100 rebate but that's the same price on the Sprint website for new customers and the ridiculous plan. So I'll have to double check on that. My fingers are crossed.
I also went to another Sprint store in the mall. The guy told me the exact opposite story, that if you upgrade to a Touch Pro 2, you will have to upgrade to the new $70/mon Everything plan. I guess it's just finding the right customer representitive and how knowledgeable/willing to help you.

Friend and I are looking to move closer to work, SF/Peninsula area. We have a list potential places ranging from Millbrae to Hunters Point (basically anywhere close to BART). At first I was hesitant moving in to the big city dealing with parking and stuff BUT I had a light bulb moment. Instead of getting my white or black Lexus IS350 this year, I can get a sweet death machine, uh, I mean moped to cruise around the city, especially from and to work, if I live close to it. I do have one in mind, the Honda Ruckus. This bad boy can get up to 40 mph and 100 mpg! But then again.. if one of those idiot driver hits me, I'm good as dead, no matter how fast I go. But then again (again?) that can happen everyday driving to work in a regular car. We'll see how the cookie crumbles (Bruce Almighty reference)

Well almost. After camp, when I threw all my laundry into the washer, this fella went along with it. When I transferred my wet clothes to the dryer, I found this at the bottom of the drum. I said "Fuck!" And I'm not a cuss-er.
I took the thing in my hand and carassed it like a dead hamster (R.I.P. Pete). I took it back to my room to recharge it to see if it played. I let it charge for a while and the power indicated light were blinking colors I've never seen before. Not surprisingly, it did not play. So I dished out another $130 for another 8GB player.
3 days later, before throwing it out I tried one more time, maybe the circuits dried up and stuff. So I recharged it through the USB on my laptop and I heard that noise you hear when something is connected. I saw on the very dimly lit LCD screen, the "recharging" icon. It was enough to give me hope it will run once again! After 30 minutes of getting juiced, I unplugged it and started pushing buttons (the screen is very dim and it is hard to navigate). After button mashing like I was playing Tekken, my X-Fi finally rose from the dead! Magically healing itself repairing its own circuits! Although the screen barely works, I regret buying the new one. And now, I will full endorse this gem!

1958 - 2009 (50)
Although he transformed into a weirdo in the later years of his career, he will remembered for his iconic music, by his fans anyway. I remember I'd use to listen to his Bad album on the tape player. I would put my ear up next to the speaker and rewind it over and over. I loved the song so much because I felt like I knew all the lyrics and I could remember the main words of the chorus. I think everyone got sick of it except me.
I like how all the mainstreaim radio stations are playing MJ marathons now. It's so nostalgic. I think this is one of those moments where in 5 years, someone will ask you where you were when he died, like JFK, or 911.
Also earlier today, what seems like months ago, Farrah Fawcett died from cancer. What bad luck it is to pass away moments before Michael Jackson. And also that Carolina Governor who had an affair, must be greatful now that he is out of the headlines.

The gf is away, my co-worker bought me a grilling magazine and it's a cool Saturday. It is a perfect day for grilling. On the menu today are BLT burgers, steak strips and red rice and the usual kabobs.

I tried to be more adventurous in grilling today. This time, prepared with bbq sauce, chicken, and meat stuff. It went off surprisingly well and delicious. Yumm. This could start to get expensive if I keep this up every week.
My grilling setup!
